Today the appeleon version 2.4.01 GA has been released and is now available for new installations and updates.
 

The following new additions expand the appeleon functionality:

  • Display improvement of information messages
    Information messages are now shown at the bottom of the display instead of being displayed as a pop up window. As a result no user action is required any more.
     
  • Improvement of accessibility
    The platform’s support for tools used by visually impaired people has been improved. This facilitates free access and enables the usage of the platform by more people.
     
  • Mobile optimization
    The display on mobile devices like tablets has been improved. The automatic detection of the used device type ensures optimal rendering.
     
  • Development interface for partners and clients
    Thanks to a new API it is easier for partners and clients to develop extensions for the platform enabling them to individualise their usage.

  • Display of operations enhanced
    The content of the context menu can now be limited to be displayed on the selected tab only instead of being shown on all tabs.
    During the creation of button operations they can be configured to appear on multiple tabs, which significantly reduces the configuration effort.
     
  • Display object environment as a chart
    An object and its relations to other objects can now be displayed as a chart. I.e. if a process is selected, the view enables users to see the related previous and following process stages in the chart.
     
  • Display objects as a Gantt chart
    The functionality to display objects of an application as a Gantt chart in form of bars on a time scale has already been available as extension. The new version introduces this functionality as a generic feature.

    Column labels in contingency tables can now be displayed above each group. This helps to clearly identify data association at any time especially in large contingency tables.
     
  • Individual design of dialogs
    The title and description of selection boxes opening a dialog can now be individually chosen which simplifies the selection process for the user..

  • Standard operations in the generic workspace
    To simplify the process of editing mass data configurators can now use standard operations in the generic workspace allowing them to edit and delete objects from tables.
