Today the appeleon version 2.5.01 GA has been released and is now available for new installations and updates.
 

The following new additions expand the appeleon functionality:

• Innovations on Instance level
• Security enhancements
  In this version several smaller security enhancements were implemented.

• Performance improvements
  The memory usage and therefore the performance of large tables was improved. Additionally displaying tables in the browser was optimized.

• Innovations on Application level
• Application specific user right notifications
  The notification „You are unauthorized to …“ can now be adapted individually for the application or the instance, e.g. refer to a specific contact person.

• Change Log Search
  By indicating an object type and field type the entire change log can be searched application-wide and the results can be listed. Conditions are also available.

• Innovations on Object level
• Performance improvements of relations
  Simultaneous assigning of several relations was improved.

• Enhancements of filter options in tables
  Table filters now contain the logical operator „COT_STARTS_WITH“, which allows filtering in values, that are hierarchically ordered. From now on, filters can also be related to date values.

• Display of field labels in the object history
  From this version on, fields that do not have a unique name can be given a unique name within the change log.

• Alignment of Excel export functionalities
  The Excel export type XLS3 now contains additional settings (display of the count column, hide column headers, columns sizes, default number format). Consequently switching from XLS2 to XLS3 is now easier.

• Collective mails in tabular form
  Collecting and sending e-mails asynchronously was enhanced, so that now tabular collective mails can be sent.

• Innovations on Field level
• User specific table settings
  User specific table settings allow the end user to adapt tables, trees and pivot tables according to her/his own needs. Displayed columns, the column order, the column size and the sorting can be adapted via a wizard and saved. Moreover it is now possible to preallocate the filter values.

• Manual filtering using more/less than
  Manual table filters can now include prefixed <, <=, > or >=. The filter depends on the data type, which means, numbers in text columns are sorted by alphabet (e.g. 12<5).

• EasyScript/complex script with conditions
  Scripts can now be executed conditionally.

• Innovations on Configuration level
• Configuration overview
  The configuration of an object type or the entire application can now be displayed in an overview table.

• Revision of the config wizard
  Navigating the config wizard is now possible using keyboard shortcuts (Escape, Ctrl-left/right,Ctrl-S). Further, the selection of sub features is also simplified.

• Transferring field types incl. their configured features
  Field types can be transferred from one object type to another. All configured features are also transferred this way.

• Duplicate user right areas and user groups
  It is now possible to duplicate user right areas incl. corresponding filters as well as user groups incl. corresponding user rights.
